We are part of a joint pastorate of United Reformed Churches in Reading whose ministers are Robert Barthram and John Downing. We invite you to come and visit at one of our churches situated across Reading.
The United Reformed Church doctrine is from the Reformed tradition and was formed by the amalgamation of the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches of England and then later with the Churches of Christ.
Sunday Worship normally begins at 10.30am.
Tea and coffee is also served after the service.
You will be made very welcome.
As part of ‘Southcote Alive’, we along with St Matthew’s, Southcote Family Church and Christian Community Action (CCA), are Christians working together for Southcote.
Our Church was established in 1954, Grange Free Church (Congregational) was the first church on the developing Southcote estate. Worship began in the former milking shed of Southcote Grange Farm, known affectionately as ‘The Barn’. The current building was opened in November 1958 and in 1965 a hall was opened.
